Here is a beauty recipe for long, dry and prone to tangling hair.
If your hair is like mine, and after a shower, it seems more like you put on a shewing gum in it, rather than washed it, this recipe is for you ;)
I can't believe the difference this serum is making. Now I can brush my hair easily and it looks and feels nourished and healthy. And I use it for my daughter too.
We will make 50 ml, for more you can double the ingredients.
Ingredients:
The essential oils we will use are:
10 drops of Lavender* oil
5 drop of Rosemary* oil
5 drops of Sweet Orange* oil
5 drops of Bay leaf* oil (optional - if adding this one too, substract 1 drop of each of the above oils)
50 ml of fractionated coconut oil*
In order to make these recipe you will also need a 50 ml glass bottle .
The Lavender is a mild and soothing oil and is beneficial for every type of hair. It is used for hair loss and promotes blood flow into the scalp, if applied there.
Rosemary contains a lot of antioxidants and prevents hair thinning. It also controls the sebum glands and thus prevents the hair from becoming oily.
Sweet orange oil is antiseptic which makes this oil an ideal addition to your hair routine.
Bay leaf oil is hair growth stimulant, anti-fungal and antiseptic. It ensures every follicle gets the nourishment it needs.
Coconut oil has been known for a long time to make it easier to remove knots after washing. It also improves hair breakage stress by penetrating the hair shaft.
Method:
Start by pouring the carrier oil into the bottle. Then add the drops of essential oils. Close the cap and mix well.
This will keep up for up to 6 months, if kept in a dark and cold place (away from children).
How to use:
After shower, pat your hair dry with a towel (not vigorously, as this will tangle it even more). Smooth a small amount of the serum through your hair, paying particular attention to tangled areas and damaged ends. Here is another trick I use. I first let my hair dry or blow-dry it and then comb it. Trust me it is easier that way, but if it doesn't work for you, do what you feel is best. When combing (dry or wet hair) use a wide-tooth comb, starting from the bottom, and slowly work your way up.
I wish you health and radiance!
